Fresh tuna is landing at our San Diego facility this morning. HFS commander-in-chief, Frank Porcelli is pleased with overall quality and freshness... Some of this catch is already on it's way to our chef and restaurant customers in the Southern California area... more fish on tap for next week!

Sea Hunt is back with a load of super fresh fish! Large average tuna size from this load. Also, a lot of wahoo, mahi mahi, and some opah. This catch is being processed and sent out to our chef and restaurant customers today!

Congratulations are in order for Capt JB @jonnypelagic and his trusty F/V Destiny crew! These guys brought home an outstanding load of fish this trip with an average tuna size of over 90 lbs! This fish has begun arriving at our chef and restaurant customers today and will last through the week. More fresh fish landings on the horizon so stay tuned here for details!

We’re kicking off the week with some fresh fish landings... the summer doldrums finally appear to be ebbing and we’re seeing more consistency and quantity with our tuna landings.... also, Fresh Opah continues to offer an incredible bang for the buck And if you’re a fan of tombo, aka albacore, then you’ll be pleased to know we caught some big & beautiful specimens on this trip.

On the bright-side, we are officially into Fall now, which means these summer doldrums will soon be but a fading memory... Also on the bright-side, our chef and restaurant customers will be seeing these fish arrive starting today! On the horizon next week we’ve got Capt. Crocket and F/V Sea Hunt due back.

Miss Emma and Double D are back and we've got a little bit of relief on the tuna. Between last week's hurricane and these summer doldrums, fishing's been a bit tough lately but there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel. We're expecting more next week... Stay tuned!

Fish are hitting the dock as we head into the final week of 2017. We're talking to Arnel as he grades F/V Kawaiola's tuna from their latest trip. We're seeing really strong quality right across size range just in time for the new year!

Overall it's been a good winter so far thanks to trips like this. Overall seeing a positive shift in overall quality and grades on the ahi. Shorter trips closer to port are helping keep the fish even fresher. We're even seeing a few Hawaiian swordfish in the mix.

Captain Tafu has brought Princess K back with a modest quantity of exceptionally fresh Hawaiian tuna, Nairagi, Mahi, Monchong, and Opah. Seeing nice smaller size ahi as well in the 39 lbs range we like to call "bullet loins."
